Research and LA DJs Danny Cosmo and Jason Splat (Monkey Business) spinning
an eclectic mix of house, progressive and funky breaks.
Los Angeles, CA - Simon Watson and Downtown Arts Projects are pleased to
present the first annual LA Edge Festival, which grew out of the enormously
successful Downtown Arts Festival in New York City. Over the four days (see
attached schedule), the LA Edge Festival will bring together some of the
most exciting and interesting Los Angeles artists in performance, music,
film, digital and the visual arts, in a moment of public celebration and
recognition.
In addition to some of the hottest emerging talent from local arts
institutions, the Festival will feature Skip Arnold, Jessica Bronson, Kevin
Hanley, Martin Kersels, Norman Yonemoto, osseus labyrint and the internet
Premiere Of Ibrahim Quraishi's multimedia opera "Abandoned Shores". Working
in collaboration are organizers and promoters Green Galactic, Public Space,
The QofV, BossaNova, Whump! Soundsystems and digital media lab eCity Studios
through their experimental art site: www.alchemism.com. Venues will include
the Santa Monica Museum of Art, Bergamot Station, Park Plaza, The Geffen

This sounds VERY interesting.....are there any IDM listers who might be
swinging by Westwood that day? I would be very interested in accompanying
you if so, I live at UCLA but I could meet somewhere on Wilshire....
