hi all,
just listening to Plaid - "Rest Proof Clockwork", and
the thought strikes me.. why do so many 'idm' artists
put the ability to write a striking musical melody below,
say, pressing the retrigger button on their drum machine
lots of times? ok, i know this is super-cynical, but if
there were more people like Plaid thinking about
the melody angle as opposed to the freeform randomtone
stuff, i think we'd be getting somewhere :)
ahem, as i said, just a reactionary thing.
