nowadays it's just boring sad drumcodeish > stuff with a few exceptions, like the somewhat dubby > 'stealin music'-album released under the name mr. > james barth, but that one didn't stick on me either.. The early Cari Lekebusch stuff that I heard was really trancey. I think the releases I am thinking about were on Planet Rhythm and came out around 1994. I didn't like that stuff very much. With regard to Drum Code 4, I thought that was great!! I also picked up a Know For They Because, Vansterprassel Me and a couple of other that I can't remember the names of, which I thought were excellent. I think Cari Lekebusch put out some of the best techno (for the floor) of last year. The Mr James Barth - Stealin Music was pretty bad house. I think there might have been one song which was decent. With regards to the James Barth material, I thought Knocking Boot vol 2 was decent...but not nearly as good as the other stuff I mentioned.

I wasn't into the hip hop. The drum n bass and techno stuff was pretty good. With regards to Adam Beyer, his Conceiled Patterns 1-4 was pretty good. I also like he Oliver Ho release on Drumcode. When I talked to Adam Beyer a few months ago he was talking about releasing a full-length soon. Hopefully it has as much depth as the most recent Surgeon and James Ruskin lps. Instead of one hard as minimal track after the other.
