there are differences in pedigree (miami/detroit), and they both don't stray to far away from their niches. that 4xlp should be good for saving people $$/time from having to get them on white labels or from crate digging. the remix of "give the dj a break" doesn't show up very often at all. fyi, a couple of weeks ago i was cd shopping and came across a used copy of a mix cd remarkably similar to the tracklist posted, so keep an eye out if you're on a budget because in a way, this was previously released 3 or 4 years ago. the rephlex version could be mixed by someone other than a member of the band - i don't remember the original post - which could effect a difference between the two. otoh, my cash is waiting for dave clarke's new xmix. the first one is a bit conservative in the mixing department, but the track list is peerless for variety. eric, acronymically
