This release, the first on new label OR, first appeared on double vinyl as
MEGO 003 (Vienna, 1995). Digitally remastered, this unadulterated epic of
minimal techno was recorded byElin, who also functions as auto repeat on
ssr/crammed.

mazk is a new group consisting of Japan's Masami Akita of the now household
name Merzbow and Tokyo resident Zbigniew Karkowski, sound and performance
artist and once of PHAUSS and The Hafler Trio.
There are three tracks:
1 visible 10:51:23 [ma, zk]
2 transparent 24:27:00 [ma]
3 exposed 19:59:02 [zk]
The first is a collaboration, the second is mixed by Akita and the third by
Karkowski. The CD was recorded at icc/ntt
studios, Tokyo and is limited to a thousand copies.
Those of you familiar with the recent releases of merzbow will notice that
this is different: instead of the brutal harsh metallic assult, mazk have
chosen a warmer nasty noise mixed with sub and low frequencies (more
digital than analogue), a kind of sour-techno-hyper-noise - arrrghhh... !!!
