I was really surprised when I heard this album.. "Furnace" and "The Eyes.." were very well thought out and were full of fresh (at the time) ideas. This new release just sounds like a painfully rushed rehash of platEAU's "Music For Grassbars" to me, except putting a little more influence on textures and ambience and less on the beat (or "less house-y, more trance-y"). Oddly enough, I like house music a lot more than generic trance-ness, so I imagine I won't be buying another Download release for a while. Perhaps I'll buy whatever EP cEvin & the Subconscious Kru are doing to put the Autechre remix on.
