(imo) welcome shroomheadz! obIDM: the new Lo recordings "further mutations" comp. is nice. lots of interesting dnb experiments and texture. cameos by a few subterranean music heroes: robert wyatt, eugene chadbourne (w/ thurston moore), etc...plus the twisted science, witchman, david kristian types...and the usual suspects (vibert). plus burzootie, who i haven't heard from since (beastie boy) MCA and burzootie's "drum machine"... also: old skool hiphop + electro fans should get the j. saul kane compiled "beat classic" compilation. incredible tracks by steady b, fantasy three, mc craig g, b+, plus the fucking epic full length version of rammelzee & k-rob's "beat bop"...these still sound fresh today, especially since just the instrumentals are included for most of the tracks, save an echoed chorus here and there. not that i don't like emcees, but circa '84 braggin' and boastin' tends to make a track sound a bit dated..."beat bop" vocal are still there tho thank goodness... "cuz i'm down with the double dutch remanipulation on the beat..." r**s
