Yep, very enjoyable despite the Battle of the Somme environment. Speedy J was
a bit dull at first, but ended with the best bits off Public Energy. TPower
did some excellent stuff - not as noodly as Waveform, not as cheesy as
SETOAIM. Squarepusher took the piss a bit, but fun nonetheless - he came on
stage, pressed Play on the DAT, and walked off, only returning briefly to
restart it when "the batteries ran out"; no live base, no live knob
twiddling, nothing. The Ninjas/DJ Food did an top 2-hour set mixing loads of
styles (funk, hip hop, d&b, pop). Jimi Tenor - what a star! And Ray Davies
was pretty cool as well...
