Since joining the list this last fall, I have quickly amassed a list of
artists mentioned (or revered) with relative frequency (or furvor).
With the understanding that I cannot buy everything everyone every
suggested, I narrowed the list down to a precious few. What I am
soliciting is a succinct review of any (or all) of these bands.
Information I would most appreciate includes description of "their
sound", comparisons to other bands, "if you like X then check out Y"
opinions, and suggested "best" album. FYI, I am looking for
suggestions for quality/timlessness sake, not historical sake. Anyway
here's the core of that significantly truncated list:

Beaumont Hannant (I love "Basic Data Manipulation")
Biochip C (associated with "Steel"?)
Haujobb
Model 500
Sun Electric (and/or Thomas Fehlmann)
Underworld
Wagon Christ
(I have done some web research, but I almost exclusively find simply
discographies and other mostly objective information; I need something
more subjective. I would also appreciate being directed toward useful
sites/archives for this and similar information. For this list, I left
out anyone for whom I could find sound samples, as they make written
suggestions on the sounds in question vitually obsolete.)
