i think FE/jimmy et al are just dead to retail customer service - at least
that's how their acting.
i've bought a few hundred releases from them in the early 90s (my avant/post
rock days) with no problems. of course there were no maintenance issues
they had to deal w/ from me as a customer though.
when i tried _one_ order from them since they began online catalogs, i did
not receive the merchandise (UPS).
it appears that since UPS had record of delivery receipt (signed post-it
auth for drop ship), FE chose to believe UPS and not the me, customer. This
was an erroneous and very non-customer friendly assumption.
FE's assumption, in accordance with non-replies and unlisted contact
information for retail customers forces me to assume their business focus
is centered on distribution first, and desperate retail customers last.
so i disputed my credit card charge, my credit card bank probly ate the $50,
and FE considered no loss for this transaction. but i will never buy from
FE again until they provide me with a response, specifically an explanation.
until then i'm going to assume jimmy does not appreciate my business and i
will stick with the old faithfuls (we all know who they are, look at any
digest week's posts)
once again, FE, i am asking (now publicly) you to explain what's happenning
here, why is this trend continuing.
