My bias up front : Jack is the fucking bomb!
No, he didn't invent "Jungle" or "Techno" all by himself.
But tell me who, brought hip-hop beats and british techno together first (
along with a healthy dose of noise ) ?
Of course he followed this up with the best ( & maybe the first, I don't
claim to know ) use of a reggae bassline in an electronic dance song ever.
So I say Jack D
1. brought hip-hop beats into electronic dance music
2. brought reggae basslines into electronic dance music.
3. is not industrial just noisy dance music
4. did indeed tempt many an industrial lad & lass to dance
5. plays the bass clarinet himself on SS instead of sampling it.
