Ok here's my take on the whole thing.. 1.) if you've heard the vibert/cole album, and like it.. the vibert/cole set will be good.. it's faithful to the album with maybe a bit more vibert than cole. personally: i no longer enjoy vibert's music. i find all his arrangements uninspired, and his samples end up being either boring or annoying. however, bj cole was beyond all my expectations, you can just tell by watching him that he feels every single note he plays. 2.) the mu-ziq set was great (imo). there was no real alterations to the songs sequence-wise, but mike was nuts on the effects. he played almost the entire royal astronomy album, plus some songs i couldn't recognize, maybe b'sides.. dunno (anyone have a better clue as to the set list?) overall, i felt the show was fairly well done.. unfortunately, i think mu-ziq's sound was a bit more muffeled, while vibert/cole's was crystal clear. im not sure if this was due to what type of equipment each of them used, or if it was something with the setup at the bowery ballroom here in nyc. step@systorm.com ___--___-__-__-_-_- systorm technologies http://www.systorm.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
