A thread with very long posts! I find this discussion very interesting. I recently read a good book about the music industry and its relation to sampling technology. It was called "Will Pop Eat Itself" and focused primarily on the team of SAW (Scott, Aikens, and Waterson or something like that), PWEI, and the KLF. Along with lots of other producers and performers. I think it does a good job of dealing with a lot of the issues that the use of sampling technologies bring up in rap, techno, and pop music. I'll post more information about it once I find my copy. [fletcher]
