Okay, I've hit a slight wall coming down to making a decisions and was wondering who to ask, when I realized, surely the IDM list could be consulted!
I'm trying to make the big decision regarding which of these three to purchase. A friend of mine is an independent for Kawai Canada and has access to the one or two of each of these remaining in their warehouse. Currently at home I'm tinkering around with the K5000W (the workstation version of the additive synth) and have played around with the K5000S (the one with the macro knobs and arpeggiator). I can't decide on which one to get, though both have pros and cons: the W has the sequencer and more patches, the S has the arpeggiator and the macro knobs (which make it good for real time control). But I can't have both (that would be silly, besides the point), but I could have the R (the rack version) which has the arpeggiator, but I'm not sure about the sequencer.
So I'm not sure, I like it all. Could anybody give me any advice based on silly opinion, serious opinion, long-term use or whatever?
