if you don't want to deal with the FULL troubleshooting effort of tracking it down (probably a poorly grounded powersupply/power
plug that some piece of equipment is connected too) a quick/easy bandaid is to take a length of wire (like cheap lampcord or speaker
wire) and wrap it around a screw on the case of every piece of equipment (most decent mixers have a ground post for *just* this
purpose) thereby bringing each piece to a common ground.
if that doesn't work, you can take a length of cheap RCA internconnects and slice the connection of the shield (making only the wire
to the center pin lead connected) and swap it out with other cables until the hum is reduced/eliminated.
last option is ditch it all and go with a system with balanced XLRs all around ;)
