I feel your pain lysaabi
When someone mentions IDM people don't think of house because its the most
prevalent form of electronica out there (next to trance) and IDM is usually
more on the abstract side drawing smaller crowds.
I went to see some Experimental Something Museum show in Los Angeles
expecting EXPERIMENTAL but got booty house with glitches. It wasn't very
Experimental, it was + - 135 bpm all night (no variety) plus I'm NOT a big
booty glitch fan.
Now a bunch of people in LA are probably confused thinking they're into IDM
when infact they're just listening to house. But it will be a good thing
when someone like venetian snares comes along and wakes them up hahahaha(idm
or breakcore? )
