Me and my girlfriend flew in from South FL to see the show. First of all id
like to say that chicago is a phat city and i hope to go back there one day.
i cleaned out like 3 or 4 record stores there of lots wagon christ, mouse on
mars, and aphex twin vinyl. Now the party: Prefuse 73 was jammin, always love
seein him. Richard Devine was good as usual. But most of all id like to say
that Luke VIbert, who we mainly flew there for, was the best thing in the
world. Even though he was just spinning records, his track selection was
amazing. Super fast experimental DnB(54 cymru beats included). Im glad he
spun good experimental stuff cuz i really wanted to see him perform live.
Wagon Christ is god! thats pretty much it. i thought itd be alot more
experimental for a Warp party. Jamie Lidell was interesting. But i do have
to say that i had a blast and most of the music was Damn good. THANK YOU LUKE
VIBERT!
peace
Dustin

<< e! To start off, Jamie Lidell was great. Had seen him at the London
Magic Bus Tour stop, and wasn't too impressed. But this this time, I really
got into it the looped beat boxing works out really well live.
Another highlight would have been DJ EASE of Nightmares on Wax. It was the
first time I had ever hear anyone spin Andy Weatherall's remix of My Bloody
Valentine "Soon" - definitely one of the highlights of the evening. He also
played tracks from "A Word of Science" and DJ Mink's "Hey, Hey, Can U
Relate" which, of course, rocked.
