I've of the opinion that even when a Phonem track is not as good as another
it's still pretty good.
The tracks on BiP-HOp v.1 (there are 2 tracks from Phonem) are a lot more
stripped down in my opinion, really fast IDM-breakbeat sounds, a little
abrasive but not as lush or as delicate as some of his other recent
compilation appearances. Still, they aren't bad, nothing revolutionary when
compared to his album, but I can't get enough :-)
Also, the rest of the comp is top-notch, esp the ultra-high end of Massimo's
tracks.
