(in a midwestern-american monotone) Klangwart's Köln/Olpe 12 is one of the finest examples of 90s electronic minimalism I've heard--hypnotic, shimmering, cascading... all those lovely adjectives. It's on the level of Terry Riley's best extended works. I don't toss around comparisons like that lightly. Felix Kubin's Filmmusik is whimsical, eccentric soundtrackish material that's up to the usual high a-Musik standards.
