perhaps there's a buried lock groove in there, as mine does the same thing.
took me about 15 minutes to figure it out -- i just thought it was some
ultra-minimal track. "jeez, i wish this would GO somewhere," i thought --
then looked up and realized that the needle had been in the middle of the
second track for ages.
