Now I understand why there's been such a great buzz about these guys. "The Quest" is a 2CD collection on Submerge (http://www.submerge.com/), with 16 tracks on the first and 12 on the second CD. It's a very solid batch of buzzing, beeping electro mini-masterpieces. Only a few tracks on the first CD fall short of excellent, and maybe just a couple on the second, if any. Sounds like Kraftwerk in a funhouse mirror if they'd been taking their funky pills. It's nothing too elaborate. The arrangements are not complex, and most tracks have just 3 or 4 monophonic lines against a heavily-filtered 808, but the sounds are nicely experimental and the beats are infectiously propulsive. Not only that, these guys live underwater, or something. In case it helps, the tracks come from UR-026, UR-030, UR-037, SW-1007, S.I.D.-005, SVE-3, SVE-6 and a few were previously unreleased. ObNonIDM - Does anybody know where can I get "O Fortuna"? I'll pay anything!!!! Mr. Gil gil@L0PHT.COM (L-zero-P-H-T) No authority is self-justified. Resist.
