I remember reading on Pitchfork about this time last year that Kraftwerk had announced that they were going to re-release remastered versions of their 8 proper albums, and then also properly release their first 3 (Kraftwerk 1, 2, and the Ralf & Florian one). I've googled a bit and dug up basically that same information on a few blogs and sites, and was curious if anyone has heard anything more recent about this? I've been putting off buying any of their back catalogue for the last year specifically so I could get the remastered versions... if they're not on the horizon anytime soon tho, I think I'll just ditch waiting and pick 'em up as I find them. -- jr --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

It's an endearing trait of the group that their adherence to deadlines rarely coincides with their hyper-efficient image: Tour De France was finished too late for the anniversary celebrations and the official website announced the >2004< remasters last year. Despite seeing a pic of the set on eBay or a fansite I'd say don't hold your breath - if you don't own the masterworks already, go for them. I'd be slightly surprised if they re-release the back-catalogue immediately after Minimum Maximum, but who knows.

I saw them in '81, '91, '04 and I'm off to Holland next month to see them in Holland. I'm wondering whether this will be their last, even why they're touring again so soon after last year's worldwide one. I thought Florian hated touring and therefore suspect this might be their last. Again, who knows! Cheers, C.
