anyone want to shed some light on how the new radiohead cd is after track 3? i would listen to it, but i cant seem to stop myself from listening to the third track over and over. its like skam releasing a matmos track in which they called upon the ghost of bryn jones for inspiration. or something. chris. aim|cuddlenoise "Groupies are always encouraged." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

It's kinda catching, isn't it? I'm sure there's a lengthy debate going on somewhere as we speak as to how they got the vocal sound. To answer your question, tracks four through maybe 9 all have varying degrees of guitar on them. It isn't always dominant, but it's pretty continuous--much more so than Kid A. You and Who's Army and Like Spinning Plates are particularly tasty--not, or course to the exception of track 3 (the title of which escapes me at the moment). I have incidentally been listening to Confield lately, and I guess I can see what folks are complaining about, but I quite like it. It has a nice tactile kinda quality to it. Texture more than groove--rather like that Radiohead track. Not trying to get the Confield thread going again, just thought I'd pitch in my two cents while I was writing.
