Jason,
Congratulations on your Columbia Records scam. That was an inspired
idea, whomever suggested it to you. I only hope that the poor guy who took
the records in at the store (and who probably makes $4.50/hour) doesn't get
held responsible when someone determines that the store can't get credit
for them.
Now, as for your other diatribe, *ahem*. Perhaps Mississippi really
*is* the cultural backwater that popular opinion would have us believe; you
know, racism, incestuous inbreeding, etc. :-) At any rate, I find it hard
to believe that in the last 10 years or so, you have never had occasion to
encounter (via the media or otherwise) the Black Plague of the 20th Century,
namely AIDS. Well, I have news for you. It's not just for Homosexuals,
intravenous drug (ab)users and Haemophiliacs anymore. My own mother-in-law -
who qualified as "(d) None of the above", btw - was felled by AIDS last year.
It was NOT A PRETTY SIGHT, y'know? Anyway, since it doesn't seem to be
obvious to you, I'll enlighten you: what Terre is talking about is essentially
"The Canonical Guide to AIDS prevention". In this day and age, how anyone
can take such vitally crucial advice and consider it a personal affront is
beyond my feeble capacities, I'm afraid.
If you don't feel that you are in a risk category for AIDS, then feel
free to ignore Terre's sensible advice. But please, do not take it as a
personal insult. The importance of Terre's message cannot be overstated.
ObIDM: Just bought Analogue Bubblebath IV and the Global Communication. Yay!
(No review yet, I just woke up (-: )
