Couple notes and a question: 1. for those who would like to finally find these tracks, they are available at joyrex.com in the .ram format. 2. note similiar sample usage on certain tracks. track 9 (i think) seems like an almost straight up rip of samples from Girl/Boy. Straight up good shit, though. 3. can anyone be ever so kind enough and email me a place where i can get decent quality mp3s of these blasted tracks at a higher bitrate than the ones on the joyrex site, or does the better quality exist at all? thanks for your time folks. mark --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

well thanks to multsanta@sprynet.com> I got them from these two sites: http://www.idrive.com/aphexmfm/ tracks 2,3,6,8,9 http://www.idrive.com/frommars/ tracks 1,4,5,7,10 & 11 they seem to very good quality to me but I haven't checked out the joyrex.com site. I have to agree, the tracks themselves are fucking excellent! It's just the type of Aphex I like..melodic and quirky. Note that 02 is also known as Fingerbib from the Richard D James album. What I want to know is who put these this site up? Could it be AFX himself....he did say in recent interviews that his future output would be on DAT tapes or the Internet. Seems perfectly feasible to me. If so...nice one Mr Twin. If not..then thanks to kind soul who set up those sites! happy y2k graham ----- Original Message ----- From: Mark <mef@ecst.csuchico.edu> Cc: <idm@hyperreal.org> Sent: 30 December 1999 11:54 Subject: (idm) Aphex Twin - Melodies from Mars
