Hello,
This is a little off topic but maybe you can help. A small group and I want
to go see the Montreal Jazz Festival this summer. Just wondering about
Montreal in general, but also about the fest. Are there some cool electronic
acts that they have now and then, or progressive bands? Also we will probably
have to buy plane tickets early to get a good price and the actual list of
performers will not be released until after. I wonder, do they save the best
acts for last, should I try to be there for the last night of the fest?
Aside from the Fest, any advice on hostels to stay at? The Hi-Montreal seems
to be really highly rated. That is about 18 blocks away from the fest and I
wonder if there are any clubs, bars worth going to - some for music, some for
meeting friendly French girls, some for good beers and food? Also, there
are probably some arty, and some upscale singles neighborhoods too. It would
be cool to hang out in both.
Its off topic, but hopefully someone here can point me in the right
direction.
