Montreal comes through again! The influential French-Canadian city that
brought us the MUTEK Festival, Akufen, and past KONTROL favorite Pheek, now
brings us two more exciting up-and-coming talents (and Complot co-founders)
each performing their own original material LIVE. Mossa will follow his live
set with a rocking DJ set as well!

BIOS:
Headlining this month is rising star MOSSA, known to his relatives as Jeremy
Petrus. First and foremost a musician with over 10 years of classical music
under his belt, Mossa's instrumental background can be heard throughout his
electronic compositions. His appetite for deconstruction lead him to the
thumps and blips of minimal house and techno, but his passion for jazz and
other musical influences have always been close at hand throughout his
musical journey. After many years as a DJ, Mossa ventured into production,
using an assortment of collected sounds to create an eclectic bouquet of
rhythm and kick that is at times minimalist, frequently amusing, and rarely
symmetrical. People are taking notice. In the last few years he has
released an impressive body of work on labels such as Mo's Ferry, Orac,
Thinner, Cynosure, Mutek_Rec, Floppy Funk, Morris Audio, and his own
uncompromising label, Complot. His penchant for creativity and
collaboration has lead him to joint projects with Pheek, Eloi Brunelle, and
Dafluke, and landed him remixes by heavyweights such as John Tejada & Justin
Maxwell, Ark, Mike Shannon, Jay Hunsberger, and Cabanne. With his full
length debut, "Some Eat It Raw" just out on Paris' Circus Company, an
outstanding MUTEK performance and European tour behind him, and two
different appearances on the wildly popular Fabric mix series, the future is
looking very bright for Mossa. This will be his first California
performance ever, including a LIVE PA and rocking DJ set to follow, so check
him out now or kick yourself later!
Opening for Mossa is his good friend and Complot co-founder Lucas Granito,
better known as DAFLUKE. Lucas is a bedroom techno producer with releases
on Complot, Archipel, and Sushitech, who has been bringing his catchy
creations to life for over 5 years. His energetic live sets are truly
unlike anything you've likely heard before, incorporating elements of
minimal techno, hip-hop, electro, house, and indie rock into a playful
collage of bumpin' beats that will make you wonder why someone hasn't done
this earlier! After hearing his highly creative productions and listening
to his unique set from last year's MUTEK Festival, we knew we had to have
him perform for us. Open your minds, dust off your dancing shoes, and
prepare for the mystery of Dafluke!
