It's the drum break featured in the middle of the 1969 song "Amen, Brother" by The Winstons and (ab)used by producers the world over. http://www.geocities.com/SoHo/Museum/4312/AMENST.wav Matt --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

I don't have the answers, but I have a feeling they can be found in this video on the history of the Amen by Nate Harrison, which I think may have also been discussed on the list sometime recently. http://www.nkhstudio.com/pages/amen_mp4.html Dig up his video history of the 303 too if you have a chance. I think its a lot better than the Amen one. -Aaron ----- Original Message ----- From: ed c <echurch86@yahoo.com> Date: Monday, November 7, 2005 7:24 pm Subject: [idm] Amen Breaks History?
