Hola! Tuned To A Dead Channel .. ..Is the name of a new band which me and Mat/Fisk Industries have started. Tonite is our first gig under the new name/project. The title is taken from the opening line in William Gibson's Neuromancer novel: "The sky above the port was the color of a television tuned to a dead channel". We've went all arthouse and have this conceptial idea behind the band. Supposedly from a future dystopian cyberpunk society, we are two hackers fighting against the corrupt system. Our sound is a raw feedback digital-dub, underpinned with slow pulsing hip-hop inspired beats and washes of musique concrete. Musical-style inspirations for the project are Wasteland and Radian. Lots of conspiracy theory, political overtones. Tonite we are playing in Elephant and Castle at Corsica Studios. Stage time is 8pm till 8:30. If you are around, please come out and have a listen! thanks! thorsten -----------------------------------------------------------------------| Highpoint Lowlife Records http://www.highpointlowlife.com/ bitmapped indie-electronic noise since '01 ---------------------------| -----------------------------------------------------------------------| --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
