Saturday night...it's time for Round Two! Another fantastic night of music and art is in store... Don't miss this show! [ K O N T R O L ] featuring: ===> KENNETH GRAHAM (Los Angeles) spectral . ovum . peacefrog . plastic city . immigrant ===> DAVE AJU - SF debut LIVE performance! circus company . context free media plus resident DJs: Sammy D ( classic . dirtybird . utensil ) Alland Byallo ( nightlight . epsionlab . mo's ferry ) Brian Walls ( ac . stylus . econspiracy ) Digital video art by Econspiracy Rx Gallery / 132 Eddy @ Mason, SF / 415.474.7973 9pm-2am / $10 / 21+ http://www.KONTROLsf.com/ This event will also be the official going away party for very well-connected music journalist Phil Sherburne (he's moving to Spain), so early arrival is advised! Last month we were sold out by 11:30! This month at KONTROL we are excited to feature a 2 hour performance by underground tech-house hero KENNETH GRAHAM of Los Angeles. He is a 20+ year veteran of the electronic music scene who has produced with the likes of Terry Francis, David Alvarado, Casey Hogan, and Rithma, and has releases on numerous labels including Peacefrog, Ovum, Spectral, Immigrant, Plastic City, Stickmen, Jump, and his own imprint, Controlteam. Kenneth will be playing 100% original material, over half of which is brand new and unreleased. If you've never heard KG's productions before, you are in for a treat. We are huge fans of his work and promise he will not disappoint! "One of the most respected tech-house producers in the US" -- RhythmicNYC "Graham's music exceeds the limitations of restrictive titles and is simply good music. "For those producers that have a gift for anticipating the future, and belief in that vision, then it is only a matter of time before the masses jock your sound." Apparently they are, for as 'underground' as Graham strives to be, he has collectively sold over 100,000 units worldwide." -- OvereasyRecords.com Supporting Kenneth is the SF debut LIVE PERFORMANCE by Marc Barrite, a.k.a. DAVE AJU. Marc is a longtime Bay Area music head, DJ, promoter, and producer, and is truly an undiscovered gem amongst us, with both great taste and a wealth of talent. His infectious style, consisting of equal parts chin stroking and rump shaking, has won him releases on Circus Company out of Paris (think Ark, Cabanne, Kean, Mossa), and Context, the Bay Area label run by Seth Horvitz a.k.a. Sutekh. Although he's played live in Europe to great response, this will be his first legit live performance on his home court of San Francisco. We're stoked to be the ones unleashing him on the city! "Barrite has been laying it down around these parts for almost a decade, but with the brilliant, slushy-yet-sleek experimental house records he makes for Ark's Circus Company under the guise of Dave Aju – think déjà vu – I wouldn't be shocked if he up and left for Berlin. God knows I would if I were making sh*t this good." - Ken Taylor, SF Bay Guardian Kenneth Graham's Discography: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Kenneth+Graham More info and downloadable tracks: http://www.epitonic.com/artists/kennethgraham.html Dave Aju's Discography: http://www.discogs.com/artist/Dave+Aju More on Dave Aju: http://www.context.fm/artists_dave.html ////// HOPE TO SEE EVERYONE THERE! //////
