Last night i saw the band Chromelodeon, and it was rather insane. They are a 7 piece band who
does nintendo covers, kind of like minibosses, but their sound is on a much grander scale. They had
two guitarists, bass, drums, two keyboardists, an accordion player and a full light show....when they band
took up more than half of the venue you knew something was up. Most of their show was actually originals
which were phenominal, twelve minute long epics that would be some of the best game music ever if it
was actually in a game. Take simple but catchy 8-bit themes, disgustingly over the top black-metal style
keyboard riffs, and long drawn out atmospheric build-ups that crecendo into level boss battle intensity
and you've got them pretty well. It actually was alot like GSYBE! mixed with video game music, although
i was skeptical of that kind of comparison.
Check them out of you get a chance. Supposedly the stuff they played is on an album coming out next week...
