Hey,
I just downloaded CDEX and it has a lot more options than I'm used to for rippings CDs. I'm gonna stick to MP3 since I'm using an iPod a lot. I'm pretty sure I've heard a lot of people say the LAME is the best encoder, so I'd like to hear from folks that use CDEX/LAME on what kind of settings they use. I noticed that in addition to a bitrate setting, there is also a quality setting. So I'm wondering, would it be better to encode at 128kbs and use the hi quality setting or encode at 192kbs and use the normal quality setting. What's the difference between the two? Thanks.
