Hi there... just resubbing after a lengthy hiatus. Is Bent Crayon still around? I know their website is still up, but I sent them two emails with questions about ordering some stuff and never heard back from them. Anyone know the scoop? Do they just not pay attention to their emails anymore? I tried calling them half a million times a while ago and they never once answered. I ended up ordering through Forced Exposure and their delivery times suck ass, and they didn't have all the shit I wanted, I ended up paying 20 bucks for one vinyl, when I had wanted the goddamn cd. (Prolly my fault that I didn't check to make sure I had clicked on cd, but 5 bucks shipping and handling for one disc?) Bent Crayon is the shit if you can get a hold of them though, which I'll see if I can't do right now for the new Vsnares. On Wed, 29 Jan 2003, The REAL Mxyzptlk wrote:

funny, I would argue forced exposure has the best shipping policy ANYWHERE (4.50 flat rate), not to mention the fill rate is pretty high. I would order from Bent Crayon more if only the service was, erm, more predictable. I've had some good experiences with them, but they really need to give their employees a crash course in customer service (ie-not acting like I am wasting their time by trying to order something from them), answering the fucking phone, and removing very old things from the website that they will never have again. oh well, there is always boomkat... -italic.

Boomkat's just as bad for having stuff on the website they they don't have in stock as Forced Exposure, in my experience. Another nice thing about Bent Crayon besides the fact that they ship quickly and can tell you what they've got if you're able to reach them over the phone, is that they're prices are most usually cheaper than everyone elses. You might save some money if you order a hundred cds from Forced Exposure, but if you're only ordering half a dozen or so I think you save. BTW they picked up when I called yesterday and they still kick ass. On Wed, 29 Jan 2003, Jeff Birgbauer wrote:

The implication: you work for Bent Crayon, vis'a'vis your glowing review of their service. =) (I thought it was funny. ;)) BTW, I'll vouch for Bent Crayon, too: efficient and fast: nice prices. The older stuff that is listed online isn't always (usually) in stock, however the new listings are well-represented in-store. Email your list, then follow it up with a call: most effective way to deal with Bent Crayon.
