ok, in the original version there was this scene with a tunnel and this out of focus alien creature with one very long arm.. it didnt really mean anything but was certainly wierd.. my belief is that chris cunningham or whoever did the new edit didnt like the alien and thought it wasnt important. but in order to cover up the parts of the video with they alien, they just edit in other scenes over and over again. so the whole thing is really out of sync with the original footage and doesnt accomplish much. granted, its not too much of a leap, and i wouldnt go out of my way to find the original, but the original was definitely better and felt eerier. after watching that video like a zillion times from my worn down tapes of mtv's amp from 1996, when i watch the dvd version its just like "what the hell?"
