I suggest « RapeK!dz » for the next moniker, it’s way more appropriate. Unfortunately, the mix and the production seem good, but I dont want to spend much time listening to this guy’s music, because of that name. The list seems terribly silent on that matter. Names like that are pretty common in the breakcore circuit. They tend toward deliberately offensive/horrifying/inflammatory. Y'all ever see any of VSnare's album artwork or track names? Guess it depends on your feelings on being upsetting in (presumably) a tongue-in-cheek way. I can see it being a turnoff, but I also assume that Aaron Funk isn't actually advocating befriending child killers. Music is art blah blah censorship yadda yadda. I haven't listened to much beatwife so idk. On Sat, Mar 24, 2018, 9:39 AM Laurent Knauth <laurent.knauth@gmail.com> wrote:

So not as offensive as people fear, but unfortunately very easy to interpret that way. On Sat, Mar 24, 2018 at 9:15 AM Eric Fairbanks <eric.p.fairbanks@gmail.com> wrote:

Aha hey there Mauro! And yeah, I don't mean to be dismissive. It's not something I would choose to do. There's another artist out there who goes by something like "stage 4 cancer" or something that seems a bit insensitive as well, though not in quite the same way. I get that art doesn't need all it's edges sanded off, but I'd think if you're going to have a name like that, it at least deserves some kind of obvious explanation. Unless (perhaps even if) it's meant to make a statement because you're donating album proceeds to domestic-violence-related groups or something it at best comes off as tasteless and at worst as making light of something awful. I think some artists, especially those who make more inaccessible, noisy, horror-driven music might see it as bringing attention to ugly things with the sort of inherent disclaimer that they're not advocating them, but I doubt that comes through to the casual listener or someone intimately familiar with the matter. Perhaps I'm overthinking it, but it's not really an excuse anyway as it doesn't change how it impacts others. On Sat, Mar 24, 2018, 11:45 AM Mauro <lavaramano@gmail.com> wrote:
