Your polling criteria: "ones that are innovative, available, popular" The best music I have had the pleasure to listen to, and this list enjoys discussing, tends to be relatively rare and unpopular with "The Masses." For popular and available just go to cdnow and write your list. cheers --- info@noiseloop.com wrote:

I have a feeling that the original poster meant "releases that other people may have heard and/or enjoyed." Not necessarily "pop music." For instance, Confield is very innovative, but not necessarily popular. Whereas BrothomStates is popular and available, but not very innovative (sounds like warp circa '94-'95). And "JoeBob's Crazy IDM Remixes" that your friend released out of the back of his truck is not available at all, even though it may be the most amazing thing you've ever heard. I think the point is to suggest things that a) other people can actually find, and b) other people might actually enjoy. derek --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

That would be popular within our readership of course. Everybody can nominate their latest cdr but if 20 say they want fennesz it seems like a no-brainer that it should go through. Regarding availability, we're guessing that if a cd isn't available then it won't do so well in a poll. -- www.noiseloop.com
