Yes. First of all, Fennesz's "Plays" EP which is just like the best record EVER. Brilliant. The precursor to "Endless Summer". Second, even though it's not actually on Mego but on Ash/Tray/OR, would be (ex-Mego artists') Farmers Manual "FSCK" which is also pretty brilliant. Uli Troyer's "NOK" is also really great. A bit of an overlooked gem, imo. You'd probably also like Pita's first one "Seven Tons For Free" if you enjoyed "Get Out". Other nice ones are (Pan_sonic's) Ilpo Vaisanen's "Asuma" and Zbigniew Karkowski's "IT". You should go on Mego's site http://www.mego.at/ and check out stuff. There are a lot of things you can listen to, often complete albums. i'm in love with Noriko Tujiko (new mego) very un-mego as there is singing and more traditional song structures. kind of japanese bjork meets cornelius, then minimized. a lot of really cool vocal looping that goes a step beyond kid-a in some ways. interesting use of traditional japanese melodies and progressions as well. i think she does all the music. it's very sparse in a lot of ways, but the arrangements are very sophisticated when listened to closely. and the art rocks. i unfortunately missed her when she came and played a midnight thursday show at tonic. recommended. np: coredump 60 sec mp3s on rotation.

I like this one a lot too. Every Fennesz, or Fleischmann record are recommended. Actually, rather than recommending Mego-only music I'd rather share my taste for some very delicious viennoiseries... Curd Duca : elevator 3 (mille plateaux) Hecker : IT ISO... (Mego) Hecker remixes by B. Gilbert, F. Lopez, O'Rourke, Vaisanen, Gescom, O. Yoshihide... (Mego) Pulsinger & Tanakan : schwanensee remixed (a rework of tschaikowsky's swan lake) Potuznik : amore motore (Mego) VA. picknick mit hermann. A compilation documenting the beginning of the electro Viennese scene. (Rhiz) Shabotinski : (b)ypass (k)ill (Charhizma) very good album based on samples from music by Pita, Fennesz, and other Viennese musicians. Orchester 331/3: Best is the very rare first album is essential. Super group gathering more than 10 Viennese musicians, including Fennesz, Kurtzmann, Markus Binder, Peter Brotzman... The second album is good too. Pita, early Farmers Manual or Rehberg & Bauer are good too. have a good time philippe Please consider signing and distributing the following petition urging a pacifist/non-military response to attacks in the US : http://home.uchicago.edu/~dhpicker/petition | 0000 \\\\.. \\\\ __ http://www.bip-hop.com _---||||...\\\\..\\\\ | 0000 --------- unconventional sound adventures ---------- <> | XXX ¨¨¨¨¨¨¨ adventurous & creative electronica ----------- \\
