Hi All, Please excuse the off-topic nature of this post but I have a pressing problem that I hope some kind soul can help me with (if they can i'll send them the next AI Sense CD free of charge as a thank you). I want to be able to burn a mixed-mode CD that has the data-track hidden from normal cd players but that shows up on PC & Macs. I have tried EasyCD Creator and Nero without much success. Any help much appreciated. Thanks, John http://www.aural-industries.com.au _________________________________________________________________ Get your FREE download of MSN Explorer at http://explorer.msn.com/intl.asp --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

i set regions with the selection tool in soundforge 5, and then export regions to wav. then i burn mixed mode with disc-at-once, in EZ CD Creator. i think that's what you were talking about. right? my screen just flickered. i don't want to buy a new one :( peace. One thing you need to do is burn the audio tracks first, then burn the data tracks. Nero Burning Rom is good software for the PC for burning mixed-mode CDs. If you're Mac-based, check out the tools used to burn Dreamcast CDs -- the Dreamcast uses mixed-mode CDs, too. You could also take a look at mixed-mode CDs that have already been created, and imitate them. Some examples: Quake, Quake II, nearly all Coldcut cds, Aphex Twin - Come to Daddy...there are quite a few now, and there are many software CDs that are mixed mode. Good luck! _________________________ Christopher Sorg Multimedia Artist/Teacher http://csorg.cjb.net csorg@enteract.com --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Well, I can't help you with EasyCD Creator, but with Nero, all you have to do is to choose "CD Extra" in the "New..." dialog. Then drag all data files to the upper half of the new ISO file and all audio tracks into the lower half, set a few options as you'd do with a normal audio CD and you should be set... np: Pole - Raum 1 Variation (R) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Sent through MailGateway - http://www.ssw.uni-linz.ac.at:2000/ Send or read your emails anywhere. --------------------------------------------------------------------- --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
