Hi fellow NZer. :-) Thomas Koener's solo stuff is beatless, drone based material. Very icy. It's not like the Porter Ricks material particularly. Porter Ricks have changed a huge amount since the Chain Reaction days too, more industrial and angry sounding. Lots of edgy sounds and heavy beats. If you're talking about the film he's scoring, that's supposed to involve lots of mixed in sounds and ambience, but also be rhythmic somehow. I really can't say what he will be up to, but I know I'll _definitely be there.
