what can i say..this show was solid. after getting a bit 'tripped' up...prefuse came on w/ lif, but lif's voice was fucked, so he didnt mc really. but i would say prefuse kinda sucked cause he pretty much pressed play. nobukazu came on and did a cool vocal kinda robot beat track, and then another long fast beat track which was pretty phat. then autechre came on...no visuals. i was right next to a speaker 2 times the size of me and the bass was BLOWING my ass off...autechre fuckin rocked that place out sick style. the went on and played some dizzying subtle changing beats. the shit went on for a while..just pummeling the place with dirty beats the whole time. they were waging some serious psychological beat warfare. They looked dark. real dark. tortoise was nice and uplifting. good to see a live band play....overall , amazing show.... d __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Yahoo! Fucking a..... the show was over at 11pm. (started at 7:15, apparently) I got there at 10pm and only saw Tortoise. (who were great) Tons of people were arriving around 10:45 or so expecting it not to have not even started yet. Grrrrrr. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Are you referring to the DJ or a specific track ? The DJ was definitely Russell Haswell and if you're referring to a specific track it might have been a Naked City track since he played that during his set in Cambridge. It was a track off Torture Garden/Grand Guignol, "Osaka Bondage" I think. On Fri, 25 May 2001 silverfuge@aol.com wrote:

Once again, Russell Haswell is the one doing the eclectic, noisy DJing sets. Andrei --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
