shop around. I prefer mac over pc cause i like the interface better, but
there are more pc hardwares and softwares available at your disposal. and
cheaper.
quality? depends on you, really. it's all in how you produce what you
write.
Like i said, shop around, figure out what you want to do with it and how
much you are willing to spend. then go from there. you really shouldn't
take anyones advice to seriously as mentioned on the IDM making list, i
forgot who said it. Basically, the person ended up not liking what
everyone recommended. use other peoples equipment if they will let you to
get a feel for what you are comfortable with.
