i am listening to ae's confield now.. and boy is this ever a dark, moody release. not all the way through, but it is pretty trippy and spacey, IMO.. makes me feel like i do when i listen to the existenz score -- perhaps autechre should do material for cronenberg :) just another opinion to throw into the mix. chris. aim|cuddlenoise "Groupies are always encouraged." --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

This got me thinking : I watched the tail end of Escape from New York the other night on TV and really liked the soundtrack. So I sat through all the tedious credits until the music ones came up right at the very very end... as they do ... and was surprised to see John Carpenter himself had done the music (together with somebody else; name escapes me). I've since been told he's scored most of his own movies. Is this true? Are they available as soundtracks? If so, do they "work" without the visuals? What a clever boy!
