It's going to be at Terrace "F." Club, on Washington just below where it meets Prospect Ave. The show is a joint offering (just kidding, officer) by Terrace and Campus, and will be part of this year's Lawnparties, when all of the eating clubs have free outdoor shows. Last year, for instance, we had Run DMC. :) I don't know yet exactly what time the show will be, but early afternoon is a safe bet. As for tickets, I'd say the clubs will probably be on member passes, so you'll have to know someone in the club to get in. Even then, it's likely to depend on how many passes they're willing to give out. As you can imagine, crowded shows are a liability for the club and for the University. Really, though, I don't think we've ever had a show quite like this before, so who knows what sort of a crowd will show up! Peter P.S. By the way, Terrace had Hrvatski and Pan Sonic one right after another last Saturday! I had to miss Hrvatski, but Pan Sonic were really amazing. They had a nice crowd (40-60 at any given time), and they could have had more if they hadn't been turned up to ear-splitting volume. It was LOUD, to the point where the speakers couldn't take it, and almost the entire show was heavily distorted. I guess it *could* have been intentional, but they had a giant oscilloscope projection on a screen behind them, and it didn't look like they sounded.

The Terrace Club is actually a house of residence/dining hall on the Princeton campus. Shows take place at either the main dining room or at a large outdoor amphitheater on thd lawn of the Campus Club (5 Prospect Ave., right around the corner) . The address of Terrace is 62 Washington Street, although there are almost no markings on the building or any surrounding ones at that (just look for the circular driveway). Best bet is to take 95 to exit 8, take 18 (I believe) west to 571, which takes you right to Washington street. The club is one of the first buildings you see on your right as you enter the campus. They have a website at: http://www.princeton.edu/~terrace/ . I only offer so much information as it took me some time to find the place this past Saturday, with the few casual street acquaintances I met either having no idea where it was or in most cases, being folk from out of town. Only seeing Ilpo from Panasonic wandering around trying to find the place (he'd already been there at this point) clued me in to being in the right neighborhood. Good luck. PS - Note showtime for Autechre is 4PM. I'd get there early. It is in fact free, and all ages which is a great great thing. There will probably also be food. Could be rather amazing... -Våt Date: Mon, 02 Apr 2001 14:36:49 -0000 To: idm@hyperreal.org From: "lorelei tremelor" <lorelei_27@hotmail.com> Subject: autechre in NJ Message-ID: <F102qgStMVhEUsebmsp000064db@hotmail.com> does anyone have more information on the Autechre show at Princeton University? it's free and on May 6, but do you have to get tickets? what time is the show? where is it located? help! lorraine :) -- please visit the reckankomplex @ http://www.reckankomplex.com reckankreuzungsklankewerkzeuge the early electronic music center p&c christophssen designs hrvatski blitter dj hekla gai/jin the rest coming soon: various - rkk13cd featuring chessie fennesz pita kid 606 push button objects cex thurston moore drusca adrien75 car tesian faith farmers manual blitter solvent electric birds jayrope rupture esp suetsu jim o'rourke cathars airlock wheel electro org anic sound system a solo bubblewrap being n/a v/vm antenna farm kim cascone mu/ta alejandra & underwood and more --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org
