btw. V/A Squadron (Merck Records) is awesome! it includes Lexaunculpt, Fizzarum, Novel 23, Ambidextrous and many more... Nice mix of crunches and melody. i agree dood. that squadron comp is dope straight up ..and ive discovered the new aphex twin. ITS <<S Y N D R O N E ! !>> ah sorry if I called the "squadron" comp interchangeable earlier this morning, I still think it is although it sounds good. LOVE Novel 23 on it !!! Komp is cool, Fizzarum could be the very best "Ae wanna-be"... LEXaunculpt is always good. Arrgh. Fizzarum is the best! They made what I hoped someone would do long ago...to create something in the vein of Chiastic Slide...the result comes far off from Ae's material taking the best from it. Crunchy melody science fiction. Best record of the year! I want Novel 23 stuff so much. What Syndrone sounds like? btw. Lusine s/t on Isophlux is a masterpiece! glad to read you have found much more personality in Fizzarum than I do. Novel 23 has an LP on Pitchcadet which shouldn't be too tough to locate I guess, I dunno where you live but they have a decent distribution don't they ? Novel 23 also appears on "Toytronic" compilation if you live in UK... here's what retailers have to say about Syndrone : DJAK-UP-BITCH / PHONICS DUB 16----SYNDRONE - Triskaida Ep -- Surprisingly strong ep by a new electronica wizzard SYNDRONE who released only a very limited full length on the obscure Merck Records (Miami). This is his vinyl debut with tracks taken from the Merck-album and new material: powerfull electronical tracks with advanced but effective machine rhythms. yeah im a big wanna be i love syndrone I have just about everything he's ever done. He's utterly amazing, i find his music as mechanical as Ae, yet within a surprisingly humane streak through his melodies. Its incredible, all of you, PLEASE, go listen to audio samples at www.m3rck.net. The Merck CD release was utterly amazing, as was his performance at SINFEST 2000. my regards to travis if he is reading this, i utterly adore your music. respects rotkin.te (the_desig)
