I don't disagree with you that the title tune isn't
that great.

I don't Aphex Twin is known for sloppy programming.
I'm sure anything he does will be programmed well,
whether the tunes are good are another matter. The
second tune isn't that great imho, the third track is
ok, but I wouldn't rate it very high compared to a lot
of his other tunes. I was not impressed at all with
this ep. Funny video & cover, props for that.

Conceptually I guess it can be kind of interesting to
ponder how he did it. Software, etc. etc.
I've had too many discussions about analysing music, I
don't really care the about the method..just the end
product.

I didn't find anything unique about him jumping into
the whole drill n bass thing for a spell. His past
work was really meaningful to me. While material like
Windowlicker & Come To Daddy might be amusing for a
short time, it's not really stuff I would choose to
listen to. IZ-US was a great little tune.

I agree there are not many artists putting anything
new and refreshing out there. Same with drum n bass
these days. That's perhaps why I am probably buying
mostly jazz & trip hop/nu jazz stuff.

In comparison to stuff like Windowlicker, I think
SAWII has a lot more depth.

Funny that's what SAWII is always compared to Music
For Airports. I love both cds

And I prefer the pre-hab. Getting back to BOC, don't
let the posts affect your decision on buying it. Just
listen to if you can on the web.
