hey,
saw someone asking about the more 'ruffer' ragga-ish jungle stuff, which is
mainly, I agree, the earlier stuff. However, I can definitely recommend the
Congo Natty and Tribe of Isacchar material that's been coming out pretty
regularly over the past few years (would someone like to correct me, or
isn't it Rebel MC of 'Just Keep Rockin'' 'fame' who's behind a lot of that
stuff?)
aha, web-searching to back up my mail, look what i found:
http://www.cosmicbreaks.com/natty/congo.html
..a very good infopage/discography on Congo Natty, confirming that it's
Rebel MC who runs the label, but there's other related labels run by others.
anyhow, it's all rather tricky to find, since it's mainly vinyl only,
but they do lots of good junglistic things with all kinds of ragga and
hiphop artists in a pretty unauthorised way (there's a great remix of
'Paparazzi' by Xzibit on one of the Souljah singles, for starters..)
Tho a lot of their stuff sounds the same, but heck, doesn't all jungle? ;)
regards,
h0l.
