all i can say about u.s. record prices is - they are cheaper than
anywhere else, especially when you consider the exchange rates of
countries. you can go to virgin mexastore on oxford street in london,
and pay £12.99 for a CD, sure, but then multiply it by the exchange
rate of $1.50+-a few cents & the cost of your airfare, see what
I'm sayin...this comes from years of ravaging l.a. and san fran
cut out bins, obscure towns in the middle of nowhere for obtuse
American soul, soundtracks, lounge music pre-idm. UNLESS of course,
you are looking for rare one off unusual jazz records, have
an English, German or Japanese accent - then you'll probably be
charged 3 times the price cause most American record "dealers"
have got wise to record dealers...
even more off topic!!
ps - clothes are cheaper in the states, 2.
