Good Morning, Can we please cut down drastically on the Sale List/Ebay Item posts to the list? We all know how to work the search bar/button on Ebay and there are also several lists for you to sell your unwanted crap cds on. Also, we dont need your "updated" trade lists every week/month. Just cause you add the 3 new cds you were dumb enough to buy doesnt mean anyone is gonna want your junk. ALSO When did BLATANT self promotion become cool again? Last i checked you still look like a fucking idiot posting shit about you and your crappy "things". You're kidding right? Why else would I read mailing lists like this? They're not exactly overly enthralling... I read this list SPECIFICALLY for the off-chance of a tradelist, it's the best way to get new stuff. as does the original poster. he just changes his mind and swaps it for something different occasionally, instead of sticking with a cd he's not too fond of. also trade lists double as mini-used cd shops, only they usually have good things in them. buying a cd from a person and buying a cd used is essentially the same thing (only you cut out the over-pricing of the retailer and ripping-off of the original buyer) a lot of the music on tradelists and for-sale things are things discussed on the list. i know that i, for one, often ask to myself "hmm, this is interesting, i wonder if i could pick one up". obviously any list that deals with discussion of a rather tangible medium is going to have a for-sale part of it, and it shows that people are interested in getting new things. the only thing i don't really like, that i think brock should've commented on more-so than what he did, was the plethora of radio set-lists. they're really just like huge "now playing" lists. but i'm not complaining =) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: idm-unsubscribe@hyperreal.org For additional commands, e-mail: idm-help@hyperreal.org

Brock, I see your point. But, your method of complaining could be found a bit abbrasive by some. Attacking others will not generate the results you desire, in fact it will just alienate them and make them resent you. They will probably post these things all the more out of contempt for you. There is a really good book you might be interested in reading called, "How to win friends and influence people." by Dale Carnege. It's a cheesey title, but it's world famous and offers very good tips on how to effectively work with people.
