Hey all, I'm looking for a brief history of IDM. I know this has been a discussion before on the list and if you could post any archived threads, that would be helpfull too. I have only one and would like to work off of several in order to piece it together. I'm interested in the progression of our music accross continents, from Kraftwerk to Detroit, Detroit to Chicago and back to Europe. I'm not saying it was necessarily in that order; but I'd be interested to know if there is in fact a progression/connection. Also, I'm interested in different cities harboring different sounds: German cities Cologne, Berlin etc.. with minimalistic Daft Punk and other french housy sounds. yeah, whatever, the scoop.
