im beginning to get into the habit of writing down my thoughts of each track on a cd. i use a small piece of paper to write down little notes and then store it inside the cd booklet. i also use a pencil eraser to mark the back face of the cd box with little dots next to each track i liked. this way i can grab a cd, look at the back and see which songs i liked, which songs i didnt like and why. not an excellent idea if you like to keep your cds in good condition, but good if you want to keep track of all the stuff you liked its kinda nice... i think. anyone do other things like this..? (too lazy to sound articulate._ (m) ________________________________________________________________ YOU'RE PAYING TOO MUCH FOR THE INTERNET! Juno now offers FREE Internet Access! I'd think that if you did that, you might miss out on the some of the hidden jewels on a cd. My favorite "songs" on a cd are ususally the ones that have had to grow on me. Sometimes a track that really appeals to you in the beginning will annoy you after a period of time. I tend to use my random button to decide what track's I'll listen. I used to put little stickers into the tray with indications about fav tracks. I still use pencilnotes on the recordlabels to mark what tracks I usually use. -----Oorspronkelijk bericht----- Van: matthew d salcido <mattsalcido@juno.com> Aan: idm@hyperreal.org <idm@hyperreal.org> Datum: dinsdag 28 december 1999 23:14 Onderwerp: (idm) question.

i totally agree about tracks growing on you. the best tracks are always the ones that grow. usually i get sick of the tracks i liked right away but the growers are the ones that last. actually what i do is put the date that i last listened to the cd when i reviewed it. that way next time i listen to it i can go and check out the tracks i didnt like to see if my tastes have changed. ill also put notes like "cant appreciate this one yet, will check it out in a few months" if i dont dig a cd right away. i dont like to get into the habit of saying "this guy sucks" so i try to see it as i cant appreciate the music yet...
